Maya Jones, R.N.
Director of Nursing - Dallas
Seeing the care that my cousin received in the NICU and PICU from amazing nurse’s day to day motivated me to pursue a career in nursing obtaining both undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees. I moved from Arkansas to Texas to advance my knowledge base in the profession. With 10 years of experience in the healthcare field I found my niche in caring for both children and their mother’s with experience ranging from NICU, Nursey and Women’s health. Being able to see the small NICU baby grow and achieve milestones beyond their wildest dreams is why the nursing field means so much to me! The tiniest first steps lead to the most amazing miracles.
Administrator - Ft. Lauderdale
Before joining Sunshine Kids, Giselle worked in Healthcare Administration serving as a liaison between Patient Access, Billing, Medical Records, and Case Management in a large South Florida hospital. She had a large team under her, where she focused on operational development, compliance, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Managing the Patient Access Department gave her the opportunity to assist patients from the beginning of the scheduling process through the time of service. Here, she was able to build relationships with the patients, helping them understand the hospital process and providing them with information on resources available to them.
Ready for a change focused on improving lives, she was excited to bring her knowledge and experience to the Sunshine Kids team. She is committed to operational excellence and strives to ensure each child feels like Sunshine Kids is their second home.
